About Montgomery, Texas

Just a trading post in 1826, Montgomery celebrated the 175th anniversary of its charter in 2012. It is the birthplace of the Lone Star flag. At the junction of Texas 105 and FM 149, and near the southwestern edge of Sam Houston National Forest, the city is 15 miles west of Conroe and 50 miles northwest of downtown Houston.

With its preserved 19th Century historic downtown, this quaint city, nearby Lake Conroe and the surrounding areas comprise a thriving real estate market where home buyers can find rare one-ofa- kind historic homes, desirable ranches, lake-front mansions, master-planned communities, traditional subdivisions and multi-family complexes.
