Living in Klein, Texas

In between Houston and Tomball lies Klein, an unincorporated community which has thrived since the mid 1800s when German immigrants made it their home. You can still hear the influence of these early settlers in the street names like Kaiserhoff, Kuykendahl, and Wunderlich. In 1938, the Klein Independent School District was established and it is still flourishing today, emphasizing community and progress, and offering excellent education to students K-12. 1n 1988, the Klein Texas Historical Foundation was established to preserve the community’s heritage. Unincorporated designations often translate to lower taxes and fewer municipal regulations, and housing options are many and varied, with a range of traditional residences, new developments and multi-family housing complexes.
