Shopping in South Houston offers a dynamic mix of retail destinations, from expansive malls to locally loved town centers. Whether you’re browsing the massive Baybrook Mall in Friendswood, strolling through Pearland’s vibrant Town Center, or exploring the updated Brazos Mall in Lake Jackson, South Houston gives newcomers and longtime residents plenty of places to shop, dine, and unwind.

Shopping in South Houston

The Baybrook Mall in Friendswood is only surpassed in size by Houston’s Galleria. Baybrook Mall recently added dozens of new stores, restaurants, and a vibrant lifestyle center that combines traditional retail with dining and entertainment options. The Lawn, a spacious grassy area measuring the length of a football field, is a gathering spot for the community.

In Pearland, the go-to-place to shop, dine and meet friends for a night out or for seasonal celebrations, Fun Runs, movie nights, art shows and more is Town Center at Broadway and Texas 288. Courtyard by Marriott in Town Center is the exclusive hotel for business and leisure travelers. Major grocery stores, medical facilities, banks and restaurants surround Town Center.

The Center at Pearland Parkway is the dominant retail location on Pearland’s east side.

The Brazos Mall, at the corner of Texas 288 at Oyster Creek Drive in Lake Jackson, The Brazos Mall recently completed a $25 million expansions and remodeling. The mall is anchored by Dillard’s, JC Penney and AMC Cinemas, T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods.

Residents of Alvin, Angleton and Lake Jackson have a variety of large retailers, small shops, antique stores, automobile dealerships and other services to choose from.
