Fort Bend County Public Transportation
Public Transportation – Fort Bend County officially formed a Public Transportation Department in June 2005 to provide residents with safe and efficient public transportation services while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
Demand Response
Fort Bend County currently offers shared ride bus services to the citizens of Fort Bend County. The scheduled ride transportation service provides trips within Fort Bend County.
In order to schedule or cancel a ride you may call 866-751-TRIP between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Monday thru Friday and choose option 2 for Reservations. Reservations can be made 30 days or up to 1 business day in advance of the appointment time. “Will call” trips are not allowed. Fort Bend County Public Transportation does not offer same day service. Be sure cancellations are received at least 24 hours before scheduled appointment time. If passenger is not ready or decides not to go, the trip will be considered a “no show” trip. If a passenger receives three “no show” trips in a ninety (90) day period, their services will be suspended. There are no transit services available on county holidays. Rides are typically scheduled for first “destination” drop-off by 8 a.m. and last pick-up will be no later than 5 p.m. Repeat rides may be scheduled in advance. Rides will be accepted on a “time and space” available basis.

Trip fares are $1.00 per person each way. Demand/Response trips are considered “on-time” if the vehicle arrives within the on-time window of thirty (30) minutes. A trip is considered on-time if the vehicle arrives fifteen (15) minutes before the scheduled pick-up time or fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. This is a curb-to-curb service; however, persons with disabilities can request door-to-door service. All passengers must wear seat restraints. Seat restraints must be provided for children 40 lbs. or less. Passengers 12 years or younger must be accompanied by another person 18 years or older. Individuals unable to independently travel safely or securely regardless of age must be accompanied by a personal care assistant. Commuter Service
Fort Bend County Public Transportation currently offer Fort Bend Express commuter services that provide weekday service to the Texas Medical Center, Greenway Plaza and the Galleria. These services consists of rides from Fort Bend County Monday through Friday from between 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM and returns between 3:35 PM to 8:30 PM at 15 – 25 minute intervals.
