We are excited to have you and your student(s) join the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD family! CFISD offers many resources to our incoming families to make the transition into our school district a smooth one.
School Assignment
Prior to registration, which will occur at your child(ren)’s respective campus, it’s a good idea to check what school(s) your child(ren) will be zoned to. By accessing the CFISD Infofinder and typing in your home address, you can see where you are zoned while finding the school bus stop pick-up and drop-off locations from our transportation department.

Registration
Now that you know where to register, be sure that you have the proper documents on hand in order to register your new CFISD student(s):
- a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate from the City of Houston Bureau of Vital Statistics;
- a current immunization record;
- a government-issued, photo ID for the child’s parent or legal guardian;
- two forms of proof of residency dated within the last 30 days (HCAD records/mortgage statement and a current gas, water or energy bill);
- a social security card for each child, if available; and
- a report card or transcript from the child’s last school, if students are registering for the sixth or ninth grade.

Immunizations
The Texas Department of State Health Services has certain immunization requirements for students. Visit their website to see what vaccines may be needed for your child(ren). More immunization information is available on our website.
Nutrition Services

Safety
Have children in the sixth through 12th grades? Keep in mind that CFISD instituted a clear backpack policy for all middle school and high school students starting in 2018-2019. CFISD seeks many ways to communicate with our stakeholders.
