Mission
The mission of Cypress Christian School is to honor the Lord Jesus Christ by providing students an education based upon academic excellence and biblical values.
Vision
The vision of Cypress Christian School is to positively impact culture by promoting truth, advancing the Christian faith, and equipping students to serve and lead with excellence.
Academic Excellence and Biblical Values
Academic excellence and spiritual excellence are not mutually exclusive. In fact, spiritual excellence calls us to be good stewards of the gifts and talents God has provided; therefore, it calls us to academic excellence as well. It is this striving for excellence in both realms that makes CCS what it is, a distinctly Christian school.
Cultural Impact
Jesus called us to go and make disciples of all men. At CCS, through our sports, fine arts, clubs, and co-curricular activities, our students have the opportunity to impact our community for Christ by living out the academic excellence and biblical values that have been ‘taught and caught’ through their time at CCS.
Curriculum
Cypress Christian students develop a strong foundation in the core academic curriculum, including reading and writing skills, critical thinking, the ability to apply mathematical concepts, and a broad understanding of the sciences and humanities. A carefully selected curriculum challenges elementary, middle school, and high school students and upholds the Christian standards Cypress Christian seeks to develop. The traditional classroom setting at Cypress Christian builds unity among students.
Curriculum is designed to increase college-readiness by providing the academic background needed to succeed in a degree program at a college or university. SAT scores for graduating seniors average 1700, SAT scores for the top 50% of our graduating seniors average 1840, and our college acceptance is near 100%.
CCS English and history programs focus on an intensive study of the great writings, people, events, works, and ideas that have impacted civilization. Coordination of curriculum among departments is stressed, providing the student with reinforcement of their studies. Science and math offer advanced track beginning with the freshman year. Honors level courses as well as dual credit and AP classes are available.
Faculty
Faculty members are degreed and certified and actively incorporate God’s Word into the classes and activities of each day with the intent of showing students that God is involved in their academics, their co-curricular activities, spiritual life, and service. They are committed Christians, who realize God created each child with unique strengths and abilities. Teachers understand that learning takes place in a variety of ways. They have a desire to kindle and nourish a love for learning in their students by helping them find new ways to discover their God given talents and potential in Christ.
Accomplishing School’s Mission
As we strive to accomplish the school’s mission, we actively:
Focus our plans and activities around specific goals and outcomes
Intently create lessons and activities to engage all learners
