  • Only one square mile in size, the City of Meadows Place, is perfectly situated between Sugar Land, Stafford, and Houston. U.S. Highway 59 is the main artery and connects with the other major thoroughfares – Dairy Ashford, Kirkwood, and Airport Blvd. The highway runs north to The Galleria, downtown Houston, and the Texas Medical Center, and south to other destinations in the county.

The City’s motto, “Your Place for Life,” says it all. Residents enjoy the best of both worlds: small town character and big city convenience. Incorporated in 1983, The Meadows has its own Police Department that is responsible for the city being recognized as the safest small city in Fort Bend County. No MUD taxes or Home Owners Association fees are assessed yet the City continues to make improvements to the infrastructure and beautification projects in parks and recreation. A new lake, pavilion and recreation area are underway and expected to open in time for summer fun.

Zoning ordinances, deed restrictions and commercial property regulations are enforced, keeping the appearance of the neighborhoods and property values strong. The Meadows Elementary School (Fort Bend ISD) is rated “Exemplary” and has an estimated 450 students. Outstanding shopping and excellent medical care is close by.

With one of the youngest populations in Fort Bend County, a rising per capita income level, and an active community, The City of Meadows Place welcomes new residents. For more information about the City of Meadows Place, contact City Hall at 281-983-2950 or visit www.cityofmeadowsplace.org.

Day or night, Meadows Place residents love to look at new lake. This lake is part of a “green” water reclamation project that not only gives the city a beautiful new recreation area, but saves them money by allowing them to use the reclaimed water for their parks irrigation.  When not at the lake, Meadows Place residents enjoy family fun at their Fourth of July Parade or at one of the many planned pool events such as Splash Night.
