Including Kids, Inc. in Humble, Texas, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, therapeutic clinic that serves the special needs community of Kingwood, Humble, Houston and its surrounding areas. Including Kids provides children and families with autism and other related delays the wraparound support they need for not only the child, but for the whole family. Whether it is through full time programming at a one to one student to teacher ratio, or through after school programming, new technology initiatives, family training, and community outreach endeavors, Including Kids is making strides for the 1 in 68 children diagnosed with autism in the United States.

Without early intervention, most children diagnosed with autism will not lead independent lives. However, research has shown that approximately 50% of young children with autism, who have received early intensive intervention, are able to participate indistinct from other children in typical school settings. Including Kids not only provides this early intervention therapy that is positively impacting children and young adults with autism, it has expanded its efforts for children and young adults who do not make it into typical classrooms due to a greater severity of the disability. These programs and therapies provided by Including Kids can mean the difference between being able to stay in the home until they become adults versus having to be placed in a residential setting due to aggression and safety issues. Including Kids also has unique partnerships with exceptional private schools in northeast Houston, such as Holy Trinity Episcopal School and Northeast Christian Academy, to integrate special needs students into typical classrooms. Including Kids is a Texas Education Agency approved, non-public facility.
