Homes are beginning to sprout in Woodforest’s Pine Island neighborhood, and the public will have their first chance to see what’s “Blooming in Pine Island” during a hard hat tour 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.
The special event will tour three showcase homes underway in the gated Estate District of Pine Island, a village of timeless architecture, manicured gardens and tree-lined boulevards. The Christine Allen Nature Park in Woodforest will take on the characteristics of a local brewbub in celebration of all things fermented and foamy at the Woodforest Craft Fest Saturday, Sept. 24.
The free festival taking place from 1-5 p.m., at the park, 5831 Woodforest Parkway South, will feature award-winning craft brews, pub grub, live country music by Josh Fuller and the Cody Bryan Band, Texas barbeque and a jumbotron television airing college football games.
