Once again, Johnson Development Corp. leads the nation in the number of top-selling master-planned communities, according to two lists released last week by national real estate research firms.

The longtime residential developer had five communities on annual reports by John Burns Real Estate Consulting and Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO).

“Johnson Development has been blessed to have great communities in strong real estate markets which has allowed us to have more top ranked communities than any other developer in the nation year over year,” said Doug Goff, Co-President and Chief Operating Officer of The Johnson Development Corp. “Current trends show that unique amenities such as our Village Farm in Harvest Green and product diversification like the wide range of floor plans and home prices that our great homebuilders offer in all our top-selling communities — are important drivers in today’s market.”

Riverstone in Fort Bend County was ranked No. 1 in Houston, No. 2 in Texas and No. 25 on the national list by John Burns Real Estate Consulting, with 435 home sales.

Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear with 397 sales, Sienna Plantation in Fort Bend Couny with 372 sales, Woodforest in Montgomery County with 337 sales and new to the list, Harvest Green in Richmond with 315 sales, were all recognized as some of the top performers in the nation.

In prior years, Johnson Development has had four to six communities ranked among the nation’s 50 best-selling developments.

Johnson Development communities also dominated a recent ranking of the largest Houston-area master-planned communities, with five being included among the top 10.

In its 43rd year of development, Johnson Development has 17 communities under active development — 14 in the Houston area, two in Dallas-Fort Worth and one in Atlanta. For more information, visit www.johnsondevelopment.com.
